Recently purchased a Vis 35 with a known issue. Previous owner had the recoil spring assembly deconstruct itself in the gun so that the smaller guide rod and pin fell out but the larger recoil spring and bits are now jammed inside the slide and the pistol won’t disassemble. Does anyone have tips or tricks for getting the slide apart?
I thought about trying to compress the end of the spring closest to the muzzle to get some wiggle room but the end of the spring closest to the chamber is a jumbled mess when viewed down the slide with a flash light.
I have the smaller spring, guide rod and pin but just need to get the slide off the lower so I can reassemble it and assess any damage.
Thoughts?
