Your favorite ridiculous handgun price!

Everyone is trying to offload or offset costs now I imagine. People have realised that the second the ban to sell them clicks into effect everything you own is worthless so people are offloading the things for max price now.

It could be a handgun or a 1lb flawless diamond... if you can't sell it, its technically worth nothing.

That makes NO sense

If it's worthless after the ban, then you would think prices are depressed so they sell!!

Marry a fat American slut, move down there, get citizenship, kick her to the curb, buy lots and lots of guns in your new homeland.

This is definitely one of my favourite quotes on CGN to date...

The wording, the crassness, the concept...love it.

Thanks for the laugh.

If you are a half way good lookin' lover yourself, she needn't be an overweight loose woman.

I know I found true love in my POF find, and have never looked back.

Trudeau voters will decide our fate in Canadian residency, come next election.

But, ultimately, if you believe in a free market who cares. Supply and demand is an eternal principle. As with anything else, a gun is worth what someone will pay for it. All of this griping about price gouging is misplaced. Many gun owners have shared values but not all. Shared values are the basis of a brotherhood/sisterhood - not having a RPAL.

One guy on ####### has a Bersa Thunder in .380 listed for $1,200 but has since reduced it to $1,000. I bought a Thunder a couple years ago for $350 though I think the price has gone up to $450.

Also looking through another guy has a Bersa Thunder pro listed for almost $2,000. lol.

wow you are really having public temper tantrum... moderators are showing great restraint

Not at all. I am smiling and waiting for flippers to go bank corrupt.
Are you one of those flippers? Since you seem angry now after getting a red pill about price drop.

I believe that most people aren't flipping their guns, they're collecting them, hence the demand for the big name brands will last until the transfer ban is declared. The demand will outstrip supply until the end, because the supply has been cut off. Even in the event of a complete ban, most will just sit on their collections the way someone else might enjoy a comic collection, antiques, memorabilia etc. If you can afford a pistol collection, you're not going to just dump them due to a transfer ban, as the value also lies in the "possession and acquisition", not just the pew pew; most aren't in need of freeing up the funds in a panic sell off. You're going to leave them in the safe and be content to have a collection of increasingly rare items. Sure, in the final days before the transfer ban there will be a great deal to be had on the remaining stock of cheap Eastern Block imports and milsurp, but that's about it. No one's going to suddenly panic sell that high end pistol at below cost; at best the few remaining good ones will be reduced to closer to MSRP and be snapped up quickly by those who want to round out their collections. That's my prediction anyways. The private sale market of scalpers is very small, and won't affect things much. If you're frustrated by the lack of supply, suggest just buying a nice CZ polymer at a reasonable price (still many to be had and of excellent quality), and remember who created this mess come election day.

If couple hundred of dollars bankrupt you, then you have serious financial problems. What I see is jealousy from you. I'm smiling waiting for your name to go pink. You got called out as a troll and you are trying to scorch the earth because they didnt side with you. So take your child tantrum to the ball pit.

YTYVcHH

you missed and misunderstood the point too, lol.

I doubt flippers are the drivers of this market. The largest base of gun owners is in Ontario, and transfers here are literally taking 3 months to complete. Good luck "flipping" anything.

To me the economics of the current situation are fairly clear. There is no new supply coming in. There is far more demand than supply.

Those who are selling now are betting against their future ability to own and enjoy their firearms. Those who are buying, are betting that they'll still be able to enjoy their "hobby" in the future along the lines of 12(6) and they're willing to pay a premium to secure their spot now.

After reading all of your nonsense, its seems that you are a butt hurt that you didn't get the pistol you wanted for what ever reason and now you cannot afford it on the secondary market. Your constant comments about "flippers" is a little obsessive and it shows.

and now you cannot afford it on the secondary market.

Nice try.

I am not buying your big talk of "Its about freedom, you need handguns... oh, you are angry, you can't afford, you are hurt, you are troll, you need handguns to be free, this is about our freedom, I will never let anyone take my handsgun away (but they are for sale with high price) Do you want to buy? Listen, they will be priceless, No supply means higher price....etc"

Lol, All this, who are you trying to fool? Nah thanks.

I will invest in gold bars instead and hire security guards if protection is ever needed (very unlikely) in a peaceful country like this.
