C No 7 Receiver Value

Good day

I have a couple of C No 7 Mk 1• Long Branch complete receivers with bolts and sights. The receivers are the usual ones from the boxes where the serial numbers were removed before being reparkerized.

Any idea on the going rate? I would say the condition is Exc overall.

The receivers are quite common, and don't bring a lot.
A complete original .22 bolt and complete .22 rear sight set are another matter.
I could see one of the receivers, with original bolt and sight bringing $400.

I see those for sale in Edmonton. Same as my two, disassembled rifles had the serial numbers ground off and receivers refinished. So $100 for the receiver is great, thank you!

Yes. Years ago a collector had 100 actions in carboard boxes. 1944,45 and 46. And many others were out there too.
But Barrels, I had 3 in the 1990's and have not found any in last 22 years!

Second choice for a barrel is a lined No. 4 barrel. Will work nicely. An original is better but good luck finding one.
A fine set of LB walnut furniture is also a challenge.

Yup, it was a bit more than I wanted to pay, but it wasn't in the realm of stupid.

Remember, it's better to pay a little too much to get what you want, than to pay a bit less and not be really happy with it.
