EDIT: Oh man, never mind. I wrote out a problem I thought I was having with a handsome old* full grain leather 12G shell belt but it turns out I was trying to load 16G shells into it and make them stay reliably.

*not as old as my eyesight however

16ga shells fit snuggly in my Beretta 20ga shell belt. Can't say I've ever seen an actual 16ga shell belt

My dad had one, but otherwise it's one of the little penalties you pay for shooting a less popular gauge. However, the 16s did work in my 12 sized belt, the problem was that they would easily fall out if the belt was inverted.

We've stitched thru the elastic webbing parallel to but offset a bit to the previous stitch line to tighten up the loops on old strap vests. My wife and I shoot 16, 20 or 28 ga hunting guns. Works very well to tighten up an old vest, or even reduce the loop size on a new vest that was sized for 12 ga ammo.
