varget 180gr 3006

well at 2550fps at the muzzler, by the time it reached the 200-220 meter mark, it still had the oomphage to slip behind crease of shoulder, an out a few ribs back (size of golf ball) an into the muddy north east hillside----
what happened at 25 meters is unknown at this point in time.

good to come back on threads an find my info... i just laoded my 150gr woodleighs i have left, an from memory i thought they landed similiar POA- so thats cool.
an nice to remember the chrono numbers lol

switching to the 150 PPSN for a back pack hunt, 0-300 needed for Stags so want bonded incase very close and dont want jacket coming apart.... confident with Woodleighs!

edit- in above picture btsp enterd nose , broke an stayed in the corner of the jaw bone/cheek. found mangled jacket only. but worked fine at 200+

Agree with ya, I can get onto some 165gr ppsn in decent quantity too, altho i cant really afford them right now so im going to hold out for now, although im feeling that one is going to be the sweet spot for what im wanting to do!

price has gone to $52 aud for box of ppsn 30 cal an under. i think $68 ish for 30 an over. the bro does postage for $10 no matter 1 or 10 boxes so im best off waiting to buy 2 box min :)
an i tink Varget will still be sweet for 165gr an reasonable velocity haha!


current load is 50gr varget 150 ppsn maybe 2750/2800 -- which is proberly ideal in saying that.
