Is it me??

Every browning I own I had to shim to get them to hit right since they all shot high and to the right in my arms including four golds

Up until the 725, most Brownings fit me right out of the box. Beretta doesn't have enough drop at comb for me, and even when shimmed, I never shot my A400, as well as my SX-3.

Going to chime in when your shooting your shotgun for the first time try to duplicate the same conditions as if your hunting - like wear your hunting gear to check for fit because you will shoot differently if you shoot your shotgun wearing a tee shirt etc etc. I had the same issue with a Browning I had to extend myself more and align up as supposed to my 870 Rem which was point and shoot

Exactly this! Excellent point IvoB. Different shooting positions and clothing changes how a gun fits. Turkey hunting will teach you or layering up for Whistlers in January! An excellent point many forget to think about. Wear what youll be shooting in and close your eyes, mount your gun quickly and you should be lookin flat down the rib with no adjustments and no left right tweaking. Proper fitting guns are natural. If you have to make adjustments while shouldering, youll suck at shooting game. Targets with mounted gun can be made too work but still arent a great fitting gun for field shooting. Close your eyes, mount quickly and it will tell the story. Just my opinion
