While the rest of us had to suffer in the poorly lit, overheated, stuffy, claustrophobic basement at BGC, Ishootguns got to enjoy some fresh air and lovely sunshine (while inhaling burnt cosmoline....)! Lucky bugger, note the contented smile and CGN hat!!!

And where he got his fresh air.....

Great class. The information is invaluable.
Nothing mind-bending or perplexing. Just some great, straight up hands-on and no bull####.
Now I know what it feels like when it's too tight...or too loose. It has to 'Click' like this....not like that... :)
Looking at a book or reading about it is not the same as getting a walk through by someone experienced.
Now I know my Rifle better, I know how to get it together right and I feel safer knowing my rrifle is set-up to run at it's best.

Kinda sounds like a '2 Thumbs-up Review' If anyone gets a chance to go to a clinic, please don't hesitate. Good time.

Thanks Hungry and BIG Thank You to Ishootguns for hauling his gear up to us and taking his time so we all can benefit.
We now all have the highly prized Unitized Gas Cylinders...the "Ooooh and Aaaah" factor will surely get us some women.

Got to shoot some rounds, didn't get to do my headspace......

Hey great day ,lots of good info Hungry. Ishootguns a big thanks ,I owe you one. Anytime you want to shoot on the trap ,skeet or sporting ranges(my other passion) or just the 100yard range let me know, its on me.We dont live far apart.
A good day with a good bunch of gun geeks!!
I gotta go and watch Black Hawk Down and work on my trigger group! " HONEY,WE NEED MORE TOOTH PASTE "!!

It was a fantastic day, I learned so much that my head was swimming all the way home.

Thanks Barney for your time, and for sharing your knowlege with us, I look forward to learning more from you at and advanced course.

Many thanks to Busta Cap for helping to provide us with a great facility, and to IshootGuns for his hard work welding our guns!

I am also glad that i still have an important part of my anatomy intact, Whew!... I really would not want to have it welded on..

There has been one downside to the day however.... I can't seem to get this song out of my head, it goes like this..

It don't mean a thing, if it don't have that PING, doo wat doo wat ...:)

Thank you Hungry for your time and expert knowhow. I sure know a heck of a lot more today than I did after getting the gooey rifle last week. Hell, I'll take the session again if you come back. I'm also in for part II.

IshootGuns, a special thanks for the weld-up.

A fantastic session with great people. It was a pleasure.

Great time! thank's to Hungry And Dave, After reading all the guides and stuff, it makes sense after you see it in front of you. It's nice to know my package will still be intact after I bore out my rear sight a bit!

Calculus1 did you get that stock to fit?

Nice to meet all of you,

John

j_subline49,
Not yet, but with some F-clamps and a couple of C-clamps... and some trimming here and there, I'll get it to fit. These M14's are our projects.... and I like projects.

Thanks for your help. I appreciate your effort. I think this will turn into a joint project with my three young sons.

I had a great time. I haven't fired anything outside of a 12-gauge in the last 15 years. It is time to come back.
