I decided to lock mine up with a cable lock at the beginning of the season cuz I sure don't want it to go missing. Also realized while doing this that the cable lock I took to use was pooched. Left it there anyway.....I guess it is a visual deterant. doesn't really do a damn thing though...lol:D

Ah! I think your way off base here dude.. I am in agreement with you on aholes that litter, but this tree stand was not litter and frankly I don't see how you make this connection.

Anyhow, if there is one thing the ARABS have right, is that they chop off your thieving ####ing hand when you get caught... Vandels and Thieves are pretty much up there in the top five of society scum.. right along side tree huggers and Liberals...:pirate:

Sorry to hear about your loss. Always someone out there waiting. I don't use a stand but a friend of mine had one disappear a few years back and now he engraves and paints his name on everything so its visible. He, like you leaves them up for a while. He tags them with a waterproof note saying he's alive and will return for his property. He hasn't had a problem since. Food for thought I guess....put your name so big on it that the thief can't use or sell it.
