Boys, I'm getting worried. I can't even get put on hold - it's like they're automatically bouncing calls on that extension.

How do you do that. I completed my private transfer (I'm the buyer in Alberta, the seller is in Quebec) last week. they said 10-12 weeks for approval. I have read of guys calling in after that and asking how to the final approvals are going and they magically get an email while on the phone.
I tried this early morning last week and no dice. Amanda said it was waiting for approval form the CFO office (isn't she the CFO office?) wouldn't let me do it, Just said 10-12 weeks wait, sorry"
Wondered if I called in again and asked how my transfer is going if id get someone more willing. Anyone been able to gently rush their approvals?

Call in using TexNow app form "NFLD" and use the non-restricted transfer line. I told them I "Pushed the wrong button, and wonder if you could complete a restricted transfer for me anyway.?" She was super nice, took about 5 minutes to to complete. Now my transfer is in the approval pile.

It all depends on who answers. I had two people tell me I had to wait my turn and that they couldnt do anything. Third person did all three transfers in under ten minutes.

Got approvals for wife and self finally done since April and May respectively. Left to last minute of course. Had emailed a few weeks ago and told to wait it’s in process but managed to get on the phone Thursday and it’s done. Folks at Alberta CFO are absolutely stand up people and doing the work of the Lord best they can.

How does one contact the Alberta CFO? I can't find a phone line contact.
Took a chance and called in again today. Got through on the first try... not sure if that was luck of the draw or if their phone lines aren't as jammed up as they once were. Spoke to a nice lady that approved two of my older transfers after a 22 minute hold. I made sure to thank her aplenty. List below updated. All transfers are dealer to private (Alberta).

I tried 40 calls today to the Alberta extension and the ones that got through just dropped after 20-30 min.
I was convinced my 2:30 call was getting through and then at 3pm the phone said “our office is now closed” and dropped the call.
Got through last week and approved 2 transfers and the nice lady took about 2min to do it and then said “call back as often as I can get through - they are happy to approve, just can only do 2 at once”.

I did this at 5:45 this morning and it worked for me. The lady picked up right away. I am from Saskatchewan. I tried a lot the conventional way with no sucess.

I received one of my transfers on Sept 22 and was able to pick up my gun from the local store. However, I can't take it to the range until I receive the Registration in the mail. How long has it been taking for others to get the registration once their transfer is approved??
