can anyone tell me if you are able to look through the iron sights with the scope mounted
That is highly unlikely, as the height over bore seems to be very low on this one.
I remember trying to look under the POSP scope mounted on a T81 folder and despite of it's very high mounted position, I could just barelly make out the irons.
Anothrr thing that comes to mind is the fact, that there was no cheek contact on T81 as the head had to float in the air in order to be able to see through the scope.
The SR81 shouldn't have this issue, but being able to use the irons under the scope should be physically iimpossible in my opinion.
On my setup om my lmg with he pso scope i can see the irons fine with the scope on.. Mind you it sits a bit higher than the setup that the SR has.
have a look at that footage that will help on the handling for the shooting ad hands on the stock.

it is from the chinese svd but the stck design is the same.
Will AK pattern mags fit this as well?
Useless "long range" rifle copy of Dragunov or Yugo M76. Original rifles were barreled in 7,62 x 54R same as Mosin Nagant which have way more balistic properties than shooting 7,62 x 39 so in my view a waste of money to buy a sniper rifle that shoots only up to 500 yards.
I bought on the 28th and still nothing. I got the transfer thing from RCMP but thats it. When did you order?
6.5 Grendel?
svd or similar has been created in 7.62x54r, 308win, 8x57js, 9.3x64 and guess what the 7.62x39 ... yes you read it well created originally in that caliber ...
I don't quite understand the people in this thread ####ting on 7.62x39 and all the elitist attitudes.
Not all of us have access to these 1500 yard ranges and that is not what this round was designed for in the first place.
I'm willing to bet that most shooters living in larger cities are lucky, if they can get into a 25 yard range without a 2 year waiting list.
Considering the prices of ammo, the 7.62x39 is still somewhat reasonable, so shooting it will not break the bank and the SVD-ish look alone is worth it for anyone, who would like to own something similar on this side of the border.
