Can different Cooey 84 shotgun bases interchange different gauges of barrel?

Hello all. For starters I am aware that a larger gauge Cooey 84 shotgun can accept a smaller gauge barrel just fine. What I am asking if the reverse is true. Can a Cooey 84 that came with a smaller gauge barrel (say 16 gauge) safely use a larger gauge barrel (say 12 gauge), given that the chambers are integral to the barrels and the base is the equivalent to a bolt face and locking lug? Essentially, did Cooey make different strength bases for a given shogun that was going to be made for market as a 16ga than what would be for the standard 12ga? Were all the Cooey 84 bases the same with the only difference being the barrel they were initially sold with?
Also, on a side note; I've heard that some take-down shotguns used to have rimmed intermediate rifle cartridge (most notably the 30-30 Winchester) or rimfire cartridge barrels available to them. Does anyone know if it was notably common across the industry or if Cooey ever did it? I'm having trouble finding any corroboration or refutation for any of this online.
Thank you.

I think Cooey used only one standard receiver for all its shotguns.
The barrels are not intended to be interchangeable. Might or might not fit, might require fitting.
Don't think Cooey ever offered interchangeable rifle barrels.
The receivers are castings, don't think a centerfire rifle conversion of any size would be a good idea. Firing pin diameter is large, not good for a rifle conversion.

-Never mind found the notification in messages.- Any idea where this thread was moved to? I can't find the shotgun forum, which I assume this would have been moved to and would have posted there initially if I could find it.

Yeah I'm going to 2nd they probably didnt make interchangeable rifle barrels. As I run a Cooey 840 with a 9mm adapter and it destroys primers. I also destroyed one as my adapter didnt spring back when closed the barrel and the cases slapped the breech face, pierced primers and left indentation in the breech.

You need like a H&R Pardner. As they use the same reciever for their handi rifles.

All gauges all bbl’s will interchange one size fits all the forend spacers will interchange as well nothing is gauge specific .they were built that way so costs of production would stay low

You may need to fit them. When I picked up another 840 reciever to replace mine. The barrel I modded with a RDS would not lock up fully.
