Hi Gents,

I have two Remington model 12 pump .22's.
One has the barrel shot out and I'd like to swap it out for the good one. It is an heirloom so I want to keep as much of the origonal gun intact as I can. Otherwise I'd just swap stocks.

Is there much chance of running into headspace grief when fitting it to the other reciever?
Who would you recommend I get to do this little job and what would be a resonable price to pay for such services?

Thanks!

Noel

Have you considered having the barrel sleeved? Then there is no change to the outward appearance of the family heritage rifle. YOu would have two Models 12s with shootable barrels.

Having a barrel liner installed will make the barrel as new on the inside and the rifle will still look old and original on the outside, and shoot very well ... usually costs about $160.

Gentlemen, where do I find such services. For that price I will surely do it!:)
Dennis, do you play with such things?

The other gunI bought for the purpose of swapping the barrel and then selling the other one as parts. Now two great little .22's can survive my wrath and someone else can enjoy the other one!

Cheers!
Noel
