Hello Everyone,

As the title stated, what is this round metal object on the stock of this Mauser? Looks to be a M48BO.

Was to disassembly the bolt.

Sorry, M48 Yugos never had take down inserts in their butts.

I would say it's some personal bit of bling, added by the troopie that carried the rifle during the civil war.

Might be a bit of sterling silver from the top of a teapot handle???

Why is it listed by ellwoodepps as the Mauser K98, especially make: Mauser? It is the Yugoslavian Zastava M48. The parts are not interchangeable with the Mauser K98.
In essence, a completely different rifle. And, yes, the Zastava M48 never had the take down disc.

Looks like an M48 Yugo, I could easily be wrong. Wouldn't be the first time a store made a mistake on their listing.

I was going by the price as well as the appearance and the stock wood.

The real give away that it's an M48 to me, is the flat on the underside of the bolt knob.
