Giving a shout out to the great folks at the RCMP. Seller called today for the transfer and got right through. I called as the buyer and got into the queue after the second attempt! Half an hour on hold and it was off to the Ontario CFO.
That is some kinda service. Well done Miramichi.

Not completed as in "now I can get my firearm sent to me". For private sales both the buyer and seller have to get on the phone with the RCMP and do their part.
The seller initiates, and lets you know the transfer number. It sits there in limbo however if the buyer does nothing thereafter (as I did, on a previous purchase until I was clued in by a subsequent purchase).
The buyer calls in and completes the RCMP's transfer process. Then it is on to the CFO. That is where things have been really stopped up. In Ontario they are moving exactly in sequence of the transfer numbers and no queue jumping like we're seeing in the provinces with lower demand.
Sorry if I caused any confusion.
Calling into BC CFO worked. I used the extension posted here a few pages back. I was on hold for about 20-30 mins. There was no questions asked he just went right to work.
I had 2 transfers I purchased online from Ontario Oct 14/22 approved today Oct 18/22

If you’re in BC just try the 9530 extension. They approved my sept 9th one in 5 mins, after the 20/25 mins on hold.
