I have had 5 mule deer bucks habituated to my property since early july when I first took some crappy cell phone pics of them in velvet. Oddly enough I had been working with a skill saw cutting some plywood. I needed something from the shop so headed there and on my way back I see this full velvet 4 point standing not 20 feet behind where I had just been cutting. Then I realized there were more of them.... the group of five. They have been around enough times that I have pics of them from full velvet to full mature racks. 2 4x4, a 2x2, a 2x1 and a spiker. They sleep and eat in my yard on the regular and aren't even afraid of my big rotti. They just hop the fence when she barks and wait till she is back in the house LOL
Crazy how close they get without getting upset. I just leave them to thier business but yesterday we spotted a cougar slinking thru our woodlot along the midway fence line. That's 40 yards from the house. Called the CO and I've been watching for ravens in case it has killed one of the 5. Probably got the spiker is my guess.
Anyways..... ya that woman should have at least gone to the other side of the car. 10 points to the big dude wrastlin that buck by the antlers, a valiant effort anyways.
One more argument for carrying a pistol wherever you go LOL
