They have already started that any transfers initiated will be completed.
But it's normal for them to go back on their word.
Sfrc notice I just got says that no new transfers after today.
The ban essentially takes effect today
Meaning you can no longer start a new transfer after today,but transfers already started will continue as normal.
That source contradicts with what Subbyrocks has said earlier on post #1142. He said “all transfers”, and that’s not the case.
From your CBC source “ Requests to transfer a handgun submitted before today's date will still be processed, the government said.”
You'll need to get a Temp ATT to pick up and bring home. Need to either call or email to get one

No, he won't. Right in the transfer notification, it reads, "This is to inform you that your application to register the following firearms has been processed. You may take possession of them now. Your new registration certificate(s) will be sent to you in a separate envelope."
He can pick it up and take it home, where it will then have to stay until the registration certificate AND the .0002 reprint of his PAL arrive, at which point he can take it to the range ensuring those two documents travel with him and the firearm.
