Looks like we've all purchased our last handguns...

I hope someone bought the Taurus 96 revolver that Ellwood Epps had. I was eyeing it yesterday, only thing that held me back was buying 3 revolvers already... Went to see if it was still available today and they only had like 9 restricted guns listed. Thats when I realized the freeze must be in effect...

Temporary fear legislation to be eventually revoked.

By who? The CPC base refuses to let the CPC adopt any policies that make them appealing to the other 80% of Canada. They'd rather watch the Liberals win than vote for a party that is willing to admit climate change is real. The NDP isn't nearly strong enough to split the vote hard enough that the CPC can win that way (which was a major factor in Harper winning all 3 times), and despite all the Liberal Scandals like WE, SNC, blackface photos, and Trudeau ###ually harassing a news reporter years ago, they still won the last election....

My last purchase was a S&W revolver made for British service, chambered in 38s&w from Marstar. I sure hope I like it...

I thought this thread was going to be about sharing what yourlast puchase was....but no....just more groaning about the freeze b.s.
Its all good. We all took a huge kick to the balls/vaj when we woke up this morning....lol

those facts are so useless.

"Handguns were used in 59 per cent of violent crime involving firearms between 2009 and 2020, and there are 70 per cent more handguns in Canada today than in 2010."

yet don't mention illegal vs legal handgun use in the crimes, useless stat.

"There were over 3,500 reported thefts of firearms in 2018."

don't mention the number of long guns vs handguns, useless stat.

"Since 2016, the Government of Canada has invested almost $1 billion to address gun violence and keep guns out of the hands of gangs and criminals, including supporting work to crack down on gun smuggling at our border."

can we please se ean audit trail of how this money was spent?

"These investments are already making a difference. Last year, the Canadian Border Services Agency (CBSA) made a record number of gun seizures at the border."

the only fact that has any value.

and yet this is only a small part of whole picture. here is the question: How many MORE were smuggled across the border during this period of time?
The only thing I am aware of is, with more more gun violence, illegal smuggled guns ever played a more significant role in it. It was estimated around 75-80% of gun violence was committed using stuff smuggle from the States. Toronto, being a leftist heaven, has banned handguns for a long time, yet during this period of time, hand gun violence has been more and more of the concerns to residents. So say something!!

We need to educate the people who don't have firearms. Simply put, they are being led by a corrupt and politically motivated government and they rely on the emotional response of the masses.

Ask how many gun owners know that your name is run nationally for any criminal activity DAILY! Half of those who own firearms don't even understand this fact.

There are so many data points being corrupted... sad times.

The VAST majority of guns (90%+) that are seized at the border are from American's that made a wrong turn or followed a GPS into Canada. None of those guns were ever intended to be smuggled into our country and in most cases are legally owned in the US.

This Liberal government has not spent a single usable dollar on actually preventing the smuggling of firearms into the country. They're just using these stats to fool the average person who has no idea what's actually happening.

That statement is also false because the border wasn't even open to non essential traffic last year.
