Handguns Worth Now

Just like when they prohibited alcohol, everything has a price, I imagine half will be lost we all move along. No open market stuff though, they will hang around, legal or not. I really don't imagine all the old 12.2,3,4,5,6 ended up in the melter.
BUY NO MEANS TO ADVOCATE BREAKING THE LAW. But reality is not so simple.
 
Make sure when filling out your Foreign Affairs import paperwork for traveling to the USA you put the value down as zero because that is what handguns are currently worth in Canada and as I understand the cost of the certificate is based on value.
 
You can't sell a legal handgun now.

Going rate for illegal USA guns is $1500 to $2000 according to one msm source. The criminals and their illegal guns aren't affected by trudo's new law.
 
Legally they are worth whatever you can get for the parts, illegally they’re worth about 4/5 times their value .
But I think the market is gonna be very limited for parts.

Well if you want to go the legal route to the seller they're worth zero, to the buyer they're worth infinity, all due to gov't intervention. In the street however I've heard a pistol goes for about 5 grand.
 
When Trudeau announced the “buyback”, he said it would be fair market value given as compensation. Many were sceptical and said that the government would determine “its own fair market value” which in fact they did. $1360 for an SR25 is very far from from being fair. This is a confiscation of legally acquired property for political purposes....
 
Someone wink wink "Anonymous", needs to hack the RCMP's system and destroy all the addresses and contact info for all restricted firearms owners...turnabout is fair play in my world.:evil:
 
My guns are worth exactly what they where last week, Too me.
What you think they are worth , don't mean a damn thing. Stupid post.
