Looking to buy a metal trigger guard for my TIKKA. I am going to be using the oem stock but as soon as i get the money im upgrading to MANNER stock. I was thinking to go with Mountains Tactical DBM for aics mags.

Anyone have done this upgrade and would you do it again? I know i gotta grind the trigger housing a lil. Long Action.

Thanks in advance

I have the Mountain Tactical OEM bottom metal and it’s great with the factory mags. I didn’t want to modify my stock for the AICS bottom metal.

User PRCook from site vendor PR Precision makes Tikka Bottom Metal from your choice of Stainless or Aluminum. They look gorgeous by the pictures he has up.

Thanks for the mention!

It should be noted that my current Tikka bottom metal offerings take OEM pattern mags NOT AICS mags.

That said, if there's interest in an AICS version I'd be happy to make them as well! I'm currently working on a design for Remington 700 AICS bottom metal.

Cheers!
Paul.

Paul, they look really well made. For the rem 700 aics triggerguard are you planning on using an M5 inlet profile? Or something else?

If Canada Post ever un-loses my T3X this will be the route I go!

If Canada Post un-loses my bottom metal from Paul, my T3X will love it. Ordered from Paul, delivered to my community box supposedly and now they do not know where it is. Unbelievable. But Paul was great to deal with.

I've certainly had a few CP 'experiences' but unfortunately, this one was on me... Gordon's got his metal alright, but apparently I got it sent to his neighbors address.

I realize the M5 Inlet is pretty universal but I personally feel it's more complex than necessary, requiring a shop with CNC to inlet for it nicely. This works for My shop of course but isn't in the customers best interest. My version will be "inlettable" by someone with a simple, manual mill. The other feature my design has is modular a latch system that will allow both full size mags to be externally released for the tactical guys as well as a non-protruding option for the hunter crowd wanting a snag free-flush seating mag setup.

Cheers!

It’s time for me to buy a tikka. Just so I can bedazzle it with these fancy parts. Might have to build a 7prc

Just did this yesterday. My saga with my T3X in 7-mag was I sold it on #######, Canada Post lost the gun, I reimbursed the seller and started getting the process ready for insurance claim. *Suddenly* Canada post found it, sent it to a secure facility to check the package, then forwarded it off to the original recipient. He did a return to sender, but since it was "technically" sent from the secure facility - that's where it was sent. I even got a notification that they received it, but now it's once again lost, and now without insurance on the contents since it was shipped with a new tracking number.

In the meantime, I was planning a build around it. So, I had a threaded bolt handle with a knob, an Mcarbo trigger spring, titanium recoil lug, pillars, action screws, and a Limbsaver replacement pad. I got so tired of waiting for the gun to come back to me (originally shipped May 26th) I finally broke down and grabbed a T3X stainless laminate in 7-mag yesteday (since I still have dies, brass, and about a hundred rounds of factory 7-mag ammo). It may become a 7PRC in the future. It was either this one or a synthetic superlight - I like a bit more heft in the barrel and it'll be a bit less "kicky" with the extra ounces.

Gonna send Paul a note on Monday to get me an aluminum bottom metal then drill out the stock holes and epoxy the aluminum pillars in place. I might add a bit of epoxy into the recoil lug channel to bed it as well.
