I've been loading 12,16 and 20 ga. with Lee Load Alls for quite some time but lately I'm thinking of getting into 410 as well, especially with their scarcity and steep sticker prices.
Lee doesn't make a Load All for 410 so I was wondering if someone could recommend a decent press for loading them up. Thanks in advance for any input.

I appreciate the responses guys. If I was going to just load up a few rounds from time to time I think something like the basic hand tool style approach would see me through. With my wife really keen to get going on the 410 it's looking like something like the MEC 600 might be the ticket.A local buddy of mine also cast a vote for it as well. So, going to check into them. Thanks again for the input.

Have you ever used a MEC 600 Jr press ? (didnt read all the previous posts before hitting post)
Not certain if they make one for 410, but when I reloaded 12 gauge it worked well for me.
You'll do well with the MEC 600 Jr.

Buy a MEC 600, the die sets can be changed out easily. I have 2, 600’s. One stays set up for 12 ga, the other gets flip flopped between 20 ga and .410 bore.

Sourcing components is your next biggest head ache.

Get some Claybusters .......................copy of WAA410 wad at twice the quantity for the same price .There is a different wad they make for the newer HS hull so good to know beforehand.

One thing I found out with 410 components is buy them when you see them.Wads for the 410 aren’t commonly stocked so I bought them anytime I seen them at gunshows , part or full bags. Cases hopefully you are saving. Winchester and Remington I find I get the most reloads out of. I have a Mec 600 for 410. A good press once it is adjusted to the shells you are loading. I find the crimp die will need to be moved in or out when you change to a different brand of cases.

As well set your MEC 600 to load three inch shells then buy a short kit {booster seat] to load 2 1/2" without adjustments. Takes less than 1 min to install or remove.I run HS hulls .For oddball or European hulls I roll crimp them and use long range "stretch wads" by BPI makes it a 30 yard gun.

Just bought some wads from Budget Shooter Supply. I scored 1000 primers from a guy who was getting out of it and a buddy gave me 1/2 bag of 7 1/2 shot. I'm using a mec junior. My only issue is the shot jamming in the charge bar.
I just measure the powder and shot with the little yellow lee powder scoops. I have one for shot and one for powder.

.410 MEC 600 's are notorious for shot jamming in the drop tube unless using 7 1/2 . Some put a little powdered graphite in the shot bottle mixed with the shot......haven't tried that trick. A larger diameter tube would be a blessing.Doesn't happen with other MEC reloaders in other gauges.
