i will be taken my dowgs for a run tomorow to retrieve the meat an carcass off the land but i will then find the projectile.......

the wound when sat up absolutely gushed out like ive never seen before.. i guess its a heart shot but i also guess projectile hasnt travelled too far at this point but what it did do was carnage..

i have heard swaging down jackets can make em a bit more unreliable / explosive at times.. the alternative was the 180gr speer hot cor, which woulda been a dandy too

so the storys a bit funny, ive been bow hunting for like 48 hours , an this afternoon before calling it a day , one last sit n wait. in nice an early, this deer came out early, earlier than the Fallow (i was targetting fallow with bow) an i was about 90m off, so i switched the Bow for the Rifle --Carry both lately on the Exo pack pending--

i closed some Gap to about 60 an couldnt really do much better than that, he was a wonky an puffed up so needed to cease existing in my woods- i seen him few months back an thought he was young.... hes not really young, not good antler genes, hes gone

60 meter shot with me 303 which im loving

I once shot a cow elk broadside at 45 yds and blew one one lung clear outa the rib cage. On the near side.. she went 30 yds then piled up. Looking at that would it kinda reminds me of that cow elk.. good job bud

It was the same with mine although I hit my cow elk with a 45-70. Must have something to do with hydraulics as I have never had that happen with even way more " powerful" rounds.
My cow elk popped about 3/4of her near side lung out a 2.5" tear in her hide from the bullet impact. My brother shot a smallish black bear with the same load and while the lungs stayed inside the impact area had a 6" tear in the hide from impact.. looked like someone cut it with a knife. Great job on that old boy.
