So Trudeau with his OIC, literally made every handgun in the country totally worthless. As it now stands when the owner dies the gun is scrapped. At least he was kind enough to allow us to still take it to the range.
So why couldn't he do the same with the AR15 and other OIC banned rifles? After all handguns kill more people than AR15's.

ONLY SAVING GRACE is that if we can turf the Liberals and put Poilievre in power he can reverse all of this Trudeau nonsense with an OIC.

Turd started with his sporting rifle ban being grandfathering, remember with c71 the swiss and cz858 were so called 12.8 and 12.9. Poly and other dip s*** would not let him take pictures at there grave dancing ceremony Dec6. So he said no grandfathering, without realizing at how much it would cost and how much a pia it would be. Then with handguns you do the math, it's alot of money, plus why ban everything now when you can use it as political wedge issues as time goes along.

Hahaha I bet a lot of firearm guys said "he's right you don't NEED one" back when the assault style OIC was put in place and now that it affects them they suddenly feel the pain of having your property become obsolete in a matter of seconds.

I think the real tragedy in our firearm police came from magazine restrictions. How on earth did you let the government convince you that putting a pin in the magazine to limit capacity is the safe way to go ? It takes less than 5 minutes of work to reverse this and yet we still follow it blindly as if this makes us safer. But yes if a magazine pinned to 5 makes us feel better than god bless. Won't stop gangs from carrying around mag extenders and full auto Sears on their illegally purchased Glock 99 will it

The only thing that could potentially be reversed is the buy back for AR's etc because of the massive cost associated with it. But that's only if it doesn't happen before the end of Trudeau's current term.

Reversing the handgun freeze doesn't make or save any money. Therefore there is no political advantage in doing so.

Never forget that all of these politicians are there for themselves. They don't care about the people whether they're wearing a Red, Blue, Orange or Green tie.

Because when they tried it with the AR15s with the OIC they got their asses sued off and the courts have dragged out the entire thing years. If it was done the way it should have been done through the passing of a bill they could have confiscated them already.

They are slowly learning and getting better at getting the guns out of the country.

imagine if all the 85000 owners of ar15 registered went really challenging the s74 instead we re only 300 ...

never forgot that many firearms has been banned in the past and never been released ever ... so this is what we re getting ...

Dude, the country that I fought for is going for shiit in a big way, faster than I would have ever thought possible. The electorate is asleep at the switch and sparkle-socks is running amok with his criminal posse....

The only saving grace is that I had the good sense to retire in Alberta! The last bastion of personal freedom in Confederation, me thinks. More's the pity.
 
All that somewhat true, but I'll interrupt your cry-fest to say that guns can still be exported. If you know of an estate that wants to _legally_ sell and realize at least some value, reach out to one of the gun auctions (no affiliation) - they have contacts with foreign buyers and exporters.

Now back to your regular programming.
 
Interesting enough, Armalytics shows that the RCMP have, as of 24 October, banned a version of the Henry .22 lever-gun. Text seems to say that someone cut one down to make a single shot pistol out of it. Taken to extremes, that would mean that all Henry lever guns are banned.
Not sure why they would use the FRT to ban a back-alley butcher job on a .22, since that is already clearly illegal under current legislation.

No, it just means there's now an entry for a prohib with that barrel length. If you look at the entry it cross references (44432), the others are just fine.

Chances are it was recovered in an estate and instead of being surrendered for destruction someone registered it to a business as a prohib. This is a good thing if so - means someone out there just denied them the satisfaction of adding another gun to the 'seized' statistic.

I hope you're right!, maybe everyone from out east with a pro gun mindset should move to Alberta/Sask, create exactly what you're talking about.
