Hi all.

I have a 1955-56 (as per the S/N) Win mod 94 in very nice condition with no issues; what do you think it might be worth? I'm moving and looking to consolidate from 2 gun cabinets down to 1 and am trying to figure out what to sell. I know the pre-'64s seem to go for more money, but I can't really find enough for sale to do any valuation.

Forend isn't fitting properly; either it's a replacement or somebody's been doing some amateur gunsmithing. Rear sight and elevator are not original. Wood looks to have been refinished, can't really tell about the blueing. $600 tops unless you can figure out why that forend isn't where its supposed to be.
 
There are a ton of '94s in guy's gun lockers. Unless you haven't shared something specifically unique about this one, it is just a nearly 70-yr old 30-30 in good shape. Remember that WRA churned out a ton of commemorative lever guns with fancy serial numbers, engravings and cardboard boxes. That is your competition on the market.
 
Once again condition rated by seller/ owner and what actually is don’t match replacement rear sight , incorrect wood and fit . I also question the dom . All that being said it will still fetch 600$ in today’s inflated market if the forend is fitted correctly. Condition rating on this site is guess work at best

I believe the OP already posted the rifle on EE and it sold. I didn't see the asking price before it was removed - I would be curious to know what it went for. The metal condition vs. the ill fit of the wood raised some questions for me, but I'm sure the purchaser is going to enjoy it.

IIRC he had it up for $550 shipped.
 
I see some non-original parts (sights for instance), and the forend either isn't the right one for that model, or the mag tube / bands and fore end were removed and not put back together correctly. A really nice pre-64 in 32spl or some other less common calibre can go for up to $1500. 30-30's are more common, and less valuable. With the poor-fitment of that wood, you'd have to spend a little more time finding a buyer willing to take on the project of fixing it. My guess would be $400 at a gun show and maybe, if you're willing to wait for the right buyer, up to $600 on a site like this. ... Also, the wood looks like it has been restored at some point, and the blueing is suspiciously good for a 70 year old gun except for the front sight base, which looks like a 70 year old gun should. Normally on these 94s the receiver and barrel band blueing is all but gone. Could just be the glare or whatever in your pictures, or it could have been restored at some point, which would make it less valuable as well. Just a few things to consider when you list it.

Not entirely. This is a Pre64. All the commemoratives were Post64. They're not the same thing.
