that's 32 for everyone who's too mad to count straight.
$200 for a stripped receiver...I paid that for whole garands 20 years ago lol
I found the sale receipt for my Breda. Paid $225 for it.
....
I'm told he has parts kits in the US and he keeps threatening to import them one of these days.
Any interesting serial numbers? Sequential sets? Low or high numbers? FWIW, the highest number I've seen was BMR 10278 and the lowest in the 30s.
BMR 254, PB 140
BMR 10741 PB 9944
I've had 5803 and 5804 but that's it. I have a lot of close ones. Maybe my next delivery of receivers will show some neat ones.
You definitely got taken for a ride. Bought over 100 by now. Never paid more than $60
We are talking complete rifles, not stripped receivers lol.
Pretty sure you haven't bought 100 complete rifles for less then $60 a pop.
Apologies for my misunderstanding!
All good, we are talking 20-25 years ago when they were that price, feels like a lifetime ago already.

The irony is in the 90s when Denmark was selling off their Garand war stocks the US slammed the borders shut. The USGI receivers could come back as US Goods Returned (or something) but not the Italian contract guns. The wholesalers needed to pay the bills, so they stripped all the saleable parts off the "stuck" receivers and sold those by the bag load into the US. Sending a few north is a full circle trip.
