Greetings fellow CGN'ers,

I recently picked up a little single shot 410 for chickens from Frontier. I just wanted to pass on that this was a very good transaction. Everything went as it was supposed to and the chap I was talking to was helpful and pleasant.

I have to get another one . I gave my last one to my best friend's daughter , she loves it , but I miss having a 410 handy . A little 410 folder would be perfect . I had one of those too , but I gave it to my nephew .............. I'm starting to see a pattern here .

Out west you don't need a gun for grouse, rock or stick will do, I even had 1 fly into the side of my jeep, unfortunately I ran over it before guy behind said what it was.

I have a break action Cooey in .410, it's a great little gun that gets very little use lately. NFS, just wistful reminiscences.

Depends on the species and location, ruffed grouse in Northern Ontario, not the sharpest knives in the drawer but spruce grouse up north are truly idiots. Now ruffed grouse in SW Ontario, damn those things are hard to get, spooky as hell.

Blue grouse are by far the flightiest spookiest birds ever.. and those buggers can fly! And fly well. But man do they damn near get as big as turkeys!

Speaking of turkeys, I was driving through the Slocan valley in SE BC and damn near ran over a dozen of them. Twice! Saw a bunch up near Radium south of Golden too. Definitely going on a turkey hunt next year.
Wild turkeys for those of you in Ottawa ;)

Thanks for the clarification, I’m sure they would have thought you were headed to whole foods for your turkey hunt.
