Things will never change in this country, it`ll just keep getting worse as perceived by us licensed gun owners, there are far more sheeple than us.
What we should be doing is proving the ruling part wrong, that is, saying making these laws are making Canada safer. And the way to do it is simple. They`ve crippled our hobby and in some cases, ways of life, so now that we`re f-cked, what difference would it make,
If all of a sudden everyone`s hand guns and so called assault rifles started disappearing due to theft, and the black market started to get flooded with ill gotten arms, don`t you think the ruling party would be thrown into chaos; can`t you just hear them saying, This didn`t go the way we thought it would. And yes every guy knows a guy who knows a guy...
Would we collectively do something so radical to try and change things?; no we wouldn`t, why, because we`re Canadians, the only people on earth who get slammed or bumped into and apologize for getting hit.
Our gov`t knows this; and that`s why they are getting away with it. And also not so legal things as well, long story short;
Back in the Cretian(spelling) days when the OIC was under review and ready for vote, our MP held an open forum and invited everyone to attend, he told us that, himself and a couple other Liberal MP`s would not be voting in favor of the new bill and in effect it would be shot down. When the voting was over, short barreled handguns and .25, 32 acps, Fal`s, and converted semi rifles all went prohib, licensing was changed and bonafide collector statuses where changed..... He, our MP was made to explain as to what happened to his promise, and we were told that he and his friends where told to tow the party line or else.... fear of disgrace and or their position in cabinet, and that`s how sh!t gets done!!!!
You think Trudeau is a dictator, well think again... and we allowed him to buy the federal liberal party back to life, they didn`t even count 100 +thousand mailed in and out of country votes in the last election, what ever happened to that investigation, swept under the carpet I suppose, and He remained in power.
IMHO, before he`s gone, it will be illegal for private ownership and he will have his seat at the United Nations.
And as far as hand gun values, Well, they are worth a fortune now, thanks to our gov`t; if you`re willing to play the game... when we realize there`s no recourse.
As someone said earlier, guns will never disappear in Canada, it`ll depend on how compliant one wants to be. The illegal gun trade will become the next biggest thing next to drug trafficking; that`s a loosing battle, isn`t it.
