I have a very like new Kel tec SU-16 with only about 40 rounds fired. Thinking about selling it. Wondering what i should be asking for it. Any help Thanks
 
Seen them as high as 1500, and as low as yeah about $700. I don't know about these days, but the price of them used to really fluctuate. I bought two off a member for $1300 for the pair a few years back, then sold one for.. $1100 give or take, a year later?

IMo, those little rifles are worth their weight in gold. Best idea is to just scan a dozen pages of the latest EE listings. You'll get a pretty good idea about what's selling (or not) and what they're going for.

The only steel on it is the barrel, bolt and pins. I have a PLR16 and would like a NR su16 but even in my situation the firearm just isn't worth more than a g note. OP maybe able to get more because of the climate, nothing wrong with capitalizing on a bad situation, per say.
 
There’s a couple on the EE for around $1500 ?
I don’t think they’re selling though.

I’ve owned 2 , paid $700 for the first one added a pistol grip stock and red lion handguard for another $500.
Also had the tan tactical model with the cheap trace optic , sold that for $800.

I think if it’s a plain Jane SU 16 , $700 $800 is fair.
If it has the pistol grip and plastic handguard, then $1000 +
 
$700 was the going rate 2 years ago, now they’re north of $1k. Ask what you want and accept an offer you can live with.

I’ve had a few and while it might not be my first pick as my one and only gun to live through the liberal zombie apocalypse, for what they are - a lightweight, storable, accurate, stanag mag compatible, reliable rifle - they fill their niche well.
 
I had an su16 blow up completely on me, was sent in for warranty and they issued a new rifle for replacement. sold it and bought something else.
have seen lots of issues with them cracking aswell at the rear of the receiver
 
I sold one a couple years back for 700 bucks but they go for 1100 to 1200 now
the one I had was the tactical version so they are worth a bit more
 
I paid $680. Sold 700 shipped.

Maybe these days $850 but with better options for $1000 I don't see it going higher unless you find the right buyer..
