Hey guys I’m so happy I got my dream gun before all this bull#### went through but the only problem is my 1911 colt gold cup only came with one magazine, normally this wouldn’t be a problem but I’m a bit of a purist, and I can’t find any colt manufactured 45 acp stainless steel magazines in canada, I’m just curious if anyone have seen any for sale. I found one website section8sports but it’s not working. Any help would be appreciated

If you find it in the states get an importer to bring in it for you. I run guns, az Tech armory etc. You'll be paying extra but the importer can tell you how much.

+1 was having a problem sourcing some parts/accessories from the Canadian sources for my Staccato 2011. AZ tech like always said no problem, all are on the way on the next import in December. A little percentage on top and a little wait, but still faster and cheaper then buying from here.

NAA.

There are a few great-quality third-party 1911 magazine makers, if you need a bunch for competition (and ejecting them on concrete floors and so on), and then you can keep your OEM magazine pretty for when you have a chance to appreciate it.

Don't worry about getting Colt mags. Wilson Combat is the way to go in my opinion. I think I got a couple from a retailer out west (don't remember who) but a bunch more from Brownell's.

Colt look nice , in a colt gun for display,
but they are not any better than the better aftermarket ones out there.
As John said Wilson are a better , smoother mag, it is what I would use.
I had 10.oo mags that where great as well. no name. I think they where SAM ones. Philippians

Grabbed 5 45acp CobraMag 8rd from DoubleTap couple months ago.
As for being stainless?ya but,
They stick to a magnet.
But they hold up and clean up nice and Purdy.
Today’s stainless is different blend then years ago. (Offshore Stainless) unless specified $$
Gun came with 2-black steel 7rd. View attachment 632061

I got the gold cup national match recently myself. The colt mags aren’t actually made by colt, and the national match used to come with a 7 and 8 round mag.

For the blued mags, Springfield armoury gets their 7 rounds from the same place colt does, Check Mate. I bought 4 of their 7 rounders and there’s no difference except lack of the pony stamp. I’m confident Youl find the stainless the same.

I really like the Tripp Research Cobra Mags, smooth as silk, well built.

I prefer those. My factory colt mags do not work well actually (they don't lock the slide back reliably when empty), but that is in a Delta. I hope the factory 45 mags work better.
