Just a heads up, if you bought a Cabelas branded scope with the lifetime warranty it is no longer valid.
All you get now is a 60 day refund/exchange. I had a chat with local store about it and they tried to inquire of the company owners concerning the warranty and got nothing.
The next time one of their branded scopes goes south on me it becomes a target.
 
Would they not have to honor the ones sold with a lifetime warranty and this would only apply to newly sold scopes?
 
I was trying to exchange a scope I bought years ago and they said no and explained it to me. Not the stores fault, corporate.

Are the stores not corporately owned? How can the store plead that its a different party and not responsible? Is not a warranty a legally binding contract, that can't be unilaterally revoked by Cabelas? Or are there some weasle words in the warranty saying they have the right to no longer honor it?
