My guess is that some were made in 8 Gauge.

So because Parker Bros made an 8 Gauge, all Parker Bros are banned, because Weatherby made a 460 Mark V all Mark Vs are banned and so on.

What's the logic with this? Any ideas?

The only real logic here is the military term mission creep.
Is when a factor is purposely inserted that doesn't really belong. Do it once to observe reaction by the masses.

If it continues uncontested as a mere anomoly then the original writer has successfully inserted expanding power beyond the initial perceived intentions.

Remember the first ban the confusion regarding shotgun bores and chokes?? Was them testing the waters further actions against shotguns IMO.

But the heading reads: Any firearm with a bore diameter of 20 mm or
greater — other than one designed exclusively for
the purpose of neutralizing explosive devices —
including the ...

12 gauge variants should not fall under that designation

If this is the case why the list? 20mm is a definable measurement easily determined with a plug gauge of some sort.

Check your reading and comprehension skills. Those are mortars. Not many of those in private collections, I'll wager.

Keep calm folks, and stick to the facts. This is, indeed, another step by the PMO (Publicity Management Office) to try to dupe the public into thinking they are the law and order party. What HAS changed, is that they've added all removable magasine semi-autos - rifles, shotguns and variants. Everything else I could see on the list was already banned (such as full autos and mortars).

How about your own reading and writing comprehension:
Brazilian Mauser 1908

Level of inaccuracies and misinformation on these threads is astonishing.
Peanut callers comments and squabbling is rampant.
The firearm owners of this country should be mounting a mass revolt and noncompliance on all levels . Tax revolts storming the useless mp offices around the clock and what ever else it takes . Instead bickering about bore diameters and choke threads on shotguns and a lot of other nonsense. Pathetic!!!!
We get what we deserve kiss the life as we new it goodbye.
Our country has been invaded by outside forces if you actually think trudumb is behind this you best start turning in your firearms tomorrow

They ARE hinge action Parker’s on the list from day one. And yes it is because they were made In 8 gauge. As well as lots of safari rifles. It’s only the bad “trophy hunting rifles” and the “market guns” of yore banned.
Our benelli semi is ok, and the anti gun anti hunting lobby is all done, right?

Parker shotguns banned yet Parkhurst shotguns A-okay. Zero logic here.
Mysterious that any hinge action shotguns are even considered?

They can easily be sawed off...

Yeah, I get that, but why the singular treatment for Parker Shotguns and Brazillian 1908?

two possible reasons:

1. They are stupid (in some ways, not in other) or just dont give a ####, why would they? What are you going to do about it? Most likely through those lists had to be created quickly so they were generous copied and pasted.

2. Just to #### with you and to slap you across your face with their ####, just because they can and you cant do anything about
