I've always been interested in acquiring a CZ 452, but they are no longer in production. Then I saw the Farewell Edition that was being produced in a limited run of 1000. I managed to purchase one, 888 of 1000. Sounds lucky doesn't it? I found a used Leupold glossy 3.5-10x40 and set it up. Went out to the range today for the initial trial using cheap .22lr ammo, Federal auto match. I was very pleased with the results. The one hole four shot group measured .009 at 50 yards with the fifth shot dropping left and down out of group. I didn't even think that ammo would be capable of that. I did add a Yo Dave spring.

Great shooting!! Those are beautiful rifles, especially the fire blued pieces. I really want one, but I just don't need another rimfire.

That's awesome!

I just wonder how many more 452 runs CZ will try to squeak out and call Farewell Editions?

Maybe the next run will be the Auf Wiedersehen line.

FWIW, the number 8 on it's side denotes infinity.

I have also heard that 8 is the number of Christ.

That would seem to suggest that you have an eternally blessed and holy rifle.:d

On a side note, I wonder who got 0666?

thought you were selling me that rifle for a grand and 50 to ship?

just kidding but maybe not

take care, nice rifle neat serial number and it seems to shoot a little

In Pythagorean numerology (a pseudoscience) the number 8 represents victory, prosperity and overcoming. Eight (八, hachi, ya) is also considered a lucky number in Japan, but the reason is different from that in Chinese culture. Eight gives an idea of growing prosperous, because the letter (八) broadens gradually.

Someone was selling no. 666 earlier this year or just about. Had a wicked light coloured stock to it but they were asking a pretty penny for her.
