Next rifle caliber thoughts !

I think the CZ 527, especially in x39, will become quite in demand, especially with the new round of proposed prohibitions. Great rifles!

I did. I’ve really enjoyed switching over to a 308 the last couple seasons. Shorter/lighter. Tried out the Barnes 130 ttsx this year and was more than pleased with the outcome.

You don’t say what ‘platforms’ your .30-06 or 6.5 are or the type of hunting you do. Regardless:
.223
6ARC bolt gun
7.62x39 bolt carbine
Lever gun in .357 or .44

Thanks very much for all the replies fellas ! I was away for a few days so just catching up .

I have 3 .22 LR one is a semi 10/22 and the other 2 are bolt actions

I should add that I also have 3 , 12 gauge shotguns I don’t hunt waterfowl so 2 just sit in the safe . One is an 870 Police model short barrel
Bought it for bear defence or SHTF scenario.

A varmint rifle in a 22 cal (222 to 22-250) would round out the smaller end...if this interests you at all.

A brush rifle for the other end...lever actions (Win, Marlin, Savage, Henry) are always fun, light and handy!
For deer, moose and elk, while the 30-30 will work at the lower end, something from a 307/308 Win to 358 Win at the upper end will serve you well, and give you a little more reach should the brush open up into larger meadows. If the 7mm interests you, there are 284 Win's in lever actions (Win Model 88 and Browning BLR), but not very common.

A Howa chambered in 7.62x39. Good for target shooting, and an effective deer rifle within it's effective range. In a pinch it could be used for small game loaded with full metal jacket.
