Single Shot 44 Mag Rifle.

There's also the option of a single shot shotgun and a quality 11" to 18" barrel insert. Chaszel, for example, come to mind. Top drawer products.

Not all shotguns are created equal. I would be hesitant to fire high pressure pistol and rifle rounds in Turkish single shots with a barrel insert.

High end euro inserts cost more than either gun mentioned too.

I have an H&R .44 mag with the synthetic stock. 4 power scope shoots very well. It has taken several deer at 75 yards plus..
The .44 mag is a hammer. Love it.

You need to use shotguns that are not made anymore, H&R or Rossi, basically ones that used for their rifle line. As some have too big firing pins. I tried putting one in a Cooey 840 and had a wack of primer blow outs.

Chaszel recommends like the TC Encore/Pro Hunter, or the H&R SB2, SB1 can be used for maybe 44, but not the rifle. Plus there are many shotguns that yeet the shells to Mars. You want it to push out 1/4" maybe so it will set back once the barrel is closed, Or else the round will slap the breech.

I just ordered a CVA Scout today in 450BM from Wolverine, read good things about it... so here's hoping nobody trash talks a cva now that I feel obliged to fanboy it haha

Well, I'm still alive.

What chambering are your shooting?

Hinge pin and bolt face damage can be cumulative…

Max chamber pressure of a 44 mag is more than 3x saami max shotgun pressure. einstecklaufs are usually used in drilling’s afaik.

Chazel literally advises firing your gun in a vice to see if it blows up with their 44 mag adaptor. How much was it landed with import fees btw?

What kind of accuracy are you getting? Any more info on the setup in general?

I am using two smaller adaptors, one for 32 S&W long and the other for 20 gauge. I was thinking about the 9mm and 357 Mag, but have not yet ordered from Chaszel. Their reviews would indicate their inserts are top performers. I would doubt my Huglu is anything but very strong. No pierced primers on any of my 50 once-fired 32 S&W cases.

Wow okayshooter; that’s persistence :dancingbanana:

With well made 44 mag single shots on the market I can’t see the point

Can these adaptors ship direct or do you need to import them?

Ron at Nine 35 dot ca sells them.

I just purchased a H&R SB1 in 20 ga to be my new adapter gun, sadly I'll need a new adapter. I'm thinking 357. As the SB1 is the frame they used on the 357, 44 handi rifles.

Any questions on what might be safe Ron will help.

I might still pick-up a 9mm 18" insert to try out. Worse case scenario, I damage a $200 Turkish single shot--I'll just keep my newly refinished wood and buy another.
