Just curious for those who might’ve purchased a restricted that is now proposed to be prohibited/banned. Will that transfer go through? Or what will they do?

C-21 is still just proposed legislation, until it becomes law it has no impact on transfers. If/when c-21 passes into law, any pending restricted transfers that will become banned will need to be halted (because its illegal at that point for the store to complete the transfer).

Shouldn't it still be processed because the transfer was started before the charges took effect? Or would we be refunded and the transfer process be canceled by cfo?

This is incorrect.

Based on a SCC decision, all initiated transfers are required to be completed, regardless of any legal changes.

If you have a transfer initiated, it will go through.

Update, contacted CFOO asking why the 5966 was approved but 5957 wasn’t I received a response 2 days later saying here is the transfer….not sure if it was lost, inprocess or sitting on someone’s desk that wasn’t there but I finally got it…might have it home before Christmas if shipping goes as scheduled!
