A few years ago, I came across a set of stocks for my 1100LW at Numrich. They had a walnut stock and forend listed separately, so I gambled they were meant to be together and bought both. They arrived, I was busy, and they got put away.

Flash forward to last Saturday afternoon, I decided to finally put them to use. I found the stocks had aged very nicely, and were much nicer than I remembered. I think these may have come off a “Skeet B” grade gun, being nicely figured but still with press-cut checkering. A nice upgrade for my 1100LW 20ga, indeed.

Well… yes, but unfortunately my LOP is 15”+, so that pad and a couple of inches of the wood will be hidden by a slip on pad when I’m shooting.

lol I've got a buddy like that too, we call him Monkey Arms. He can basically touch his knees from a standing position. lol

And your old stock set is still very, very nice. I take it that the 1100LW fore-end wood is contoured to the more slender barrel, aye? But that the stock should fit any 1100/1187?

The stock looks like a standard trap style stock very straight on the comb a skeet stock would basically have the same drop as a field stock

Indeed, yes. A very astute observation. Perhaps it came off a trap model? I guess we’ll find out tomorrow if I can shoot well with it.

For the Q on stock for, this set is specific to the LW frame. I don’t currently own a standard frame 1100 to compare, but expect all dimensions to be a bit smaller.

They never made a trap gun in the LW . I don't ever remember seeing that red pad on the light weight all the ones I had were black but that red pad was common on the standard trap 12 gauge frame all my Rem trap guns have the red pad. Let us know how you made out.

I shot the 1100LW 20ga. with the pretty new stock today. Stock fit was fine with a slip on pad and I didn’t really notice anything good or bad about the flat comb.
