I cannot see anywhere in GTA people interested much into target shooting with airguns, shooting longer ranges, let say 100 meters and beyond, 200 or 300?
Is this thing exist at all in Canada?
I am experiencing some hesitation at my gun club, several hundred members and I may be the only one shooting airguns. Not call it a hesitation but more as a non-believers crew, feels like this is some religious thingy.
Unfortunately I have no access to any farmland in my close proximity, I could just mind my own business and do what I like - shooting long ranges with an air rifle. But I have nowhere else to go but to a gunclub only.
I am calling this my story out, hoping there may be others.

Lots of field target in Ontario, probably the most active province.

I understand, but that discipline all shorter ranges and low power. For a longer range we need a much higher power setup and that may ruin the FT targets. Apples and oranges.
I am well connected with AGS for couple years already, their store is about 120 KM door to door.

It's a gun club. People join to shoot firearms as most just shoot airguns in their own backyard. But there is a history of airgunners not supporting firearms owners. It's not non believers or religion, but when you are paying 200$ plus for memberships why would you go there to shoot couple dollars in pellets? You just barking up the wrong tree. Accept that not everybody enjoys them as much as you.

If you want to compete you have to go to a competition and play by their rules.

And from your rimfire and rail gun question. You only shoot benched with your solid rest. Not quite everybody cup of tea. Hard to compete in Airgun PRS or FT with that setup.

Plus from that PRS post. Firearm rules will still apply, as you'll get idiots that will try and use firearms on it, so doubt you'll get a club to build you a airgun only range. Because remember techically over 500 fps and 4.2 fpe, your airgun is legally a firearm.

We shall have a thumb up or high five in smilie list, now I need to type all this to all you.
Thanks for the feedback, all valid points.
Just a side note, SGC is not a $200 club, unfortunately.
Also for the price of that one of my BR setup airgun (the FX Impact as is right now) I could buy several rimfire or centerfire rifles, probably a small arsenal. So money is relevant for the game.
But a question: - Why I am shooting airgun instead of powdergun?
Because I am finding more challenging to get a subMOA @ 100 with an airgun and that is my driver, also I can shoot 500 pellets (or 300 slugs) for a price of a hamburger meal. Well, I don't eat hamburgers anyway ;)
