Trijicon

Who carries this product?

 Which product line?

You can get pistol night sights from Wolverine.

I have never seen their hunting scopes in Canada (anyone?).

I have only seen military optics through private sale, for instance I bought my ACOG TA31F through the EE on these boards :D.

You can directly import them from the US using Questar, etc.

If you are LEO/MIL you can try Police Ordnance or M.D. Charleton. I think they will ignore you if you're a civilian... although when I requested a catalog from Trijicon it was mailed through Police Ordnance.

Good luck, cheers.

Out of curiosity, what did they OK? I am interested to know what lines they offer to civilians; is it an ACOG you're after or night sights? Cheers

They offer anything that you can legally buy as a civilian. Scopes, belts, accessories.

They offer firearm training too, I hink this may be off limits to mosr civilians.

I wonder if Brinks counts for taking firearm courses??

Every year they get into firefights.

Oops, didn't make my question clear. I realize they will sell you items permissible in Canada. I was wondering about US export restrictions that can render items permissible to own unobtainable. I refer to military scopes, ie ACOG...

They said they would sell me anything...

I mentioned a whole variety and the man on the phone asked my name and then said he would ship me anything I had talked to him about.

I couldn't see why they wouldn't:confused:

Yeah, they will sell you an AGOG. Its just and optic.
Not according to the US federal Gov.

Because the US restricts export of military optics. They are still possible to acquire, you need to jump through some hoops. I was interested in knowing what models he said you could buy, guess I'll have to contact them myself...

I forgot to add that the remainder are Military and LEO only.

They are a controlled commodity.

Like any item that the US state dept doesn't want in the wrong hands ie terrorists, anti US militants. The list is extensive and can includes optics, firearm parts, rails, etc. Some US companies just don't want to go through the hassle of getting export permits etc to sell to a relatively small market here in Canada.

I have no idea optics could be controlled. What is so great about them?

All optics are controlled, you need a permit from the State Dept.

I was talking to Natchez Supplies, in Tennessee, this morning and was told by the person that does all of the exports that it cost dealers $600 per year to be registered as an exporter of controlled products before they can apply for an export permit.

Police Ordnance told me they could get TA11 (donut of death) as well as TA33R...compact 3X with red Chevron.

Police Ordnance is great!

I ordered a TA33R-8, compact ACOG 3X 30mm, with red chevron...delivered within a week or so after sending in payment.

They sell the TA-11...with donut of death. Lots of the others like TA31F they couldn't get due to US policies.

THe TA33R-8 is pretty good, smaller and it has better eye relief than some of the larger ACOG's. Best of all it had the Chevron reticle.
