Even WITH provincial support enforcement of non restricted firearms is virtually impossible except on a case by case basis on the rare occasion a police officer encounters someone out shooting a now banned gun. And then there is no guarantee that the officer will even want to take action, assuming no real harm was being done.

They don't even know how to collect the registered guns like the AR15's.
 
^ right? Banning the sks will be an especially funny joke. Short of massive government overreach, and a police force that is willing and able to search every Canadian who has ever had a valid gun licence it just isn’t possible guarantee compliance even for the registered guns, good luck with everything else
 
This isn't about banning hunting.
He's banning firearms, all of them. He's just doing it one block at a time so that he doesnt upset too many of us at once.
I keep reading posts that he's misguided, or incompetent. He's targeting the group of people that he fears the most - PAL owners, people that follow laws, pay their taxes and love their country. The ones that would be the first in line to fight for it.

The last two major pieces of firearms legislation came within months of two major protests in Ottawa, where the Liberals were convinced they were under threat of being overthrown (Yellow vests and the trucker protests). The first just happened to have a mass murder occur while they were writing it up, unless you honestly believe that that massive OIC was put together in a handful of days.
So no, this isn't about hunting. And he's not after the wrong people. He's after disarmament, and is targeting the most patriotic group first in case we don't like whats going to come next. And he's doing it in a way to purposefully confuse and misdirect us.

you re putting too much power in our groups ... we re not united ... and most were not interested in any kind of support while the oic came after semi auto black rifles, did not hear that much when it was the freeze of handguns either but now some of the hunting rifles are in danger and people are waking up: i do no think so ...
 
Trudeau has not taken anything you still have your AR’s you still have your hand guns and you still have your prohibited guns . What has he taken it will stay like this till he is gone and we will see what happens with the next government he is playing everyone and it is working just like he and his Henchmen planned .
 
I'm betting that he's specifically referring to the SKS with these comments because of the large amount of people that have come out and said they hunt with it.

Dream on... he is referring to generally wanting all guns out of all hands, so they can do whatever the f**k they want to us.
 
A friend of mine from another land once told me not to fear the government because all that's needed to win is for the ppl to fight together. He said the USA has the largest strongest army and yet they fought 5' tall brown guys in sandels with aks in Vietnam and didn't win. Then they fought 6' tall brown guys in sandels with aks in the deserts and they didn't win. It wasn't the jungle or the sand it was the willingness to fight that prevailed. If 2.2 million of us stood United there's no army that could defeat us. Now is the time to show our unity

Yes, dammit, they are hunting rifles!

Not that a ban would be justified if they were not.
 
Just like they're going after gasoline and diesel vehicles, they're trying to make it untenable to live outside the cities.
