Just wondering what the best way is to measure tge deviation in my type 81 and what is acceptable
if its below 81 degrees its in spec
How do i tell
That was a joke haha 4mm deviation or less is what ur looking for. From what point to another im not sure, ud have to email Tactical Imports about that one.
Realistically the human eye is a surprisingly precise instrument. IMO you can simply strip the gun down to reciever and barrel and just look down it from multiple perspectives. Ull see if its noticeably bent or not.
Measured it and it came to a 1.5mm deviation from chamber to muzzle but my stock is def canted a bit to the right but from what i hear is sorta common with combloc guns

It's only common according to TI and people trying to justify the ownership of indeed defective product. All these "4mm" and "stocks common deviations" are pure BS that flies only in Canada where we have almost no access to original combloc guns and USA where they need to rebuild receivers.
VZ58 with original military receivers and original military barrels were straight, weren't they? Even replaced barrels were installed correctly. I have handled and shot enough of AK-family guns in my life to claim that USSR manufactured AKs had no BS "deviations", not in trunnions , not in stocks.
T81 produced for military had no these defects and there's a reason why many of our t81 are bent, however I would leave this reason to everyone's curious mind and won't elaborate.
It feels kinda surreal that in 21st century there's a need to convince ppl that humanity mastered straight gun barrels the same century first "hand cannons" were developed, and was in 15th century! Not to mention that concept of "straight" was for sure known long before Mesopotamian civilization.
I misspoke, I meant "able to manufacture straight gun". Sure it's just trunnion issue, not barrel. Well, there's also stock alignment issue, gas block alignment issue and there are some new type of issues with this fantasy beast "SVD" or whatever they call it.Misaligned trunnions, not bent barrels. Bend / bent is just convient Type 81 slang. Or maybe u were just being sarcastic in the last part idk...
Think about it.
Do you rather not want the type 81 available for purchase in Canada? Very easy, don't buy it.
And then we have the people who put the SKS down, the people who don't like everything Chinese and so on. There are choices, make your own.
In regards to type 81: I have yet to see posts that they don't fire. So sad for the bashers.
