Does anyone have any information on using longshot powder for loading 3” #2 steel in 1 oz and 1 1/8 oz with cheddite hulls and b&p csd 114 wads?

I just had a look in the Cheddite Manual and the Advantages Manual ...

1.) Cheddite Manual has a 1oz steel load listed with the CSD100 wad. 33 grains of Longshot. Cheddite 12ga 3" hull and Cheddite primer.

2.) The Cheddite Manual has also a 1 1/8 oz steel load listed with the CSD118 wad. However with Blue Dot ... 36 grains. Cheddite 12ga 3" hull and Cheddite primer.

Both loads are also in the Advantages Manual .... but what you are looking for does not exist in either manual with the CSD114. Sorry.

p.s.: The Advantages Manual list a couple of steel loads with the CSD114 wad ..... but those are all 1 1/4oz loads (or 1 3/8 oz) using Blue Dot or Steel powder.

Steel powder is the only one I use for reloading steel shot.

Well, I don't want to hijack this thread ..... but if anybody knows a dealer that has Alliant Steel powder in stock and for less than CAD $75.00 the lb .... then I am all ears.

Still looking for Alliant Steel powder ....
