PAL Wait Time

I’m going through the same problem it’s been 7 months for me too as I am still stuck in the initial review process since November 14 just don’t know if my Cfo will take a look at mine they told me give it a month it’s been more than a month and nothing has happened I am still hoping the cfo will at least see it My Cfo is in Ontario btw
 
And also since there has been no replies yet can I email the cfo or call them to figure out what is going on with my application
 
What same problem? I mean 7 months ain't too long a time nowadays, applications get lost here and there, but chances are it hasn't and they'll get to it eventually.

Yes, you can email and call them.

I would definitely email them. Enquire about your application and ask if it has been flagged for any reason, or if additional info is required.

Hopefully you don't end up with /KAM and it gets approved.

I just want to update you with the recent printer issue:

So my friend just called in today. He said the agent told him the card printer was going under some maintenance, and it's back to full power now. Hopefull everybody can get your card in hand asap. Cheers.
 
good news. my application was issued on Dec 1 and I am still waiting for card.
Ordered one shot gun and stuck by physical card.

I've been waiting for my card since mid November, & already picked myself up around 5 guns, just waiting on the physical card to take them out!

I bought one and took back to home. but another shotgun, need physical card and so have to wait.
 
My wife did her RPAL course September 11th.
She sent off all her paperwork on September 18th.
Her RPAL was approved and mailed in and around the end of November.

RPAL received December 21th.

Shocking fast!

I emailed them no response hopefully I don’t get this kam everyone keeps talking about

Yeah thats exactly what I did, just be cognizant that some retailers want you to send them a copy of your pal.
 
Hey Everyone,

I had a question regarding PAL wait times and experiences. I just mailed in the paperwork for the PAL (not RPAL). I am a bow hunter, but after some grizzly encounters I decided to arm up to protect myself, and maybe do some rifle hunting. I had to click yes for box 16d, and I attached the explainer paper. I had a brief period 4+ years ago where I was in a huge life change and got depressed. The depression led to some thoughts of self-harm, but I went to the doctor and talked to a counsellor immediatley. I was never on a care order and never hospitalized for it, and was never forced to take drugs. Just a small blip in my life and has never been an issue since. I also have no criminal record or peace bonds.

I am wondering what kind of wait times I can expect, when I should be calling/checking the status, any way I can expedite the process. I admit to being nervous on it given my answer to 16d, so any thoughts would be appreciated. Wait times seem to vary wildly.

Also, what is KAM? People keep mentioning it.

PAL/RPAL application was received April 29, started processing August 1st.
Absolutely no "yes"es checked on application, have called CFP multiple times they say nothing is missing its just sitting in the finalization line....
Did the courses start of February 22, i'm closing in on a year since i started the whole process at this point, a bit exhausting

Ive been waiting 5 weeks now for my card to arrive... assuming it will be arriving in the next week or so. Any recommendations where i can order online that wont be asking for a pic?
 
I went into canadian tire after getting my # only from the CFO office ( I did not have physical card) with me as i hadnt recieved in mail yet.
the sales guy @CT just took my # email anddress and phone # that was on record with government and sold me my first rifle no problem.

escorted me to cash and then out to truck with it.

card arrived in mail a week later
 
Can someone help me out, CFOO received my application end of April and I tried calling to no avail the couple months ago I emailed and they responded saying there was delayed up to 9 months, tried emailing after that to see if there was updates but noones emails back. It’s almost been 9 months and I’m reading some people got theirs writhing a month I don’t get it.

which day is issued day? mine is Dec 1. Ontario

as my experience for online purchase,

dominion outdoor, Cabelas no need physical card;
gotenda need physical
