Hey guys, can anyone recommend a front sight adjustment tool? Want to change the sights on my M&P 9mm 1.0. Don't want to spend a fortune on this tool as this will probably be the only time I use it. Have had the pistol some 13 years and haven't touched the sights so probably need a tool to remove the front one.

Thx..

Brass drift punch works well, won’t mar the finish from my experience. Last one I needed I turned up on the lathe but you could easily make one on a drill press with a file and some med & fine wet dry paper.

Ok, I have a few of those. I wasn't sure they would be adequate for the job.. Will try it out, thx..

When adjust a sight, I first make a little witness mark with a small paint pen or a dab of white-out.

I use a brass punch. The vice has to be quite tight so that the padding does not take all the blow energy.

With a front sight, be very careful. If the punch jumps off the end of the sight, it will slide across ant hit the vertical section of the sight. This usually shears it off.

Don't ask how i know this...

One of our site dealers had these on for around $200. I think it's worth the investment if you own several hand guns.
