9mm carbine for post C21

In response to the original question, I'll be using my FX9MM. Trudeau has absolutely no one about to try to enforce C21. It may be on his wish list but C21 is an exercise for dreamers. I would think most PCC participants will be using 30 rd mags given the fact the semi-auto carbines will be illegal anyway so why worry about the mag limit? In fact, I suspect there will be no mag restrictions after C21 since the guns will be prohibitive items so the mag limitations would be redundant anyway.

A very good friend of mine from Trout Lake, NWT once told me, "One much is one much, BUT too much is too much"

Over Christmas I was talking with my Fudd family members. These are the guys that typically bend over backwards to comply.
There is unanimous consensus that they aren't going to comply. As far as they are concerned the law is still what it was in 2018.

This group includes LEO's and they aren't going looking for anything if you aren't causing issues.
Only time they will add these charges is if you are being an idiot and they want to pile stuff on so something sticks.

Interesting product. I had wondered about whether anything other than a semi auto that can run pistol rounds exist. I am surprised Henry hasn't come up with a lever action tube fed rifle yet for 9mm or .40.

Looks good, along with the ADF 44 magnum: (Edit, oops, this is a bullpup conversion stock, so no go)

The point of this one here, as revolting as the looks are, is that it provides a way to burn through 9mm ammo stockpiles if they come and grab all.the semi-autos.

I am sure they designed it just for this purpose, kind of like the MRA Renegade as an alternate to the OIC banned guns in 2020, though the straight pull nature of the Renegade I have never really liked, despite the otherwise AR-like ergonomics.

I am glad that something like this Tombstone was developed. But at that price (at today's conversion - $2600 Cdn + tax) - yowzers...I'd almost just keep all my 9mm ammo for hopefully better days ahead, or just sell it.

I do agree with other posters - lever or no lever, a detachable magazine, especially one that visibly protrudes as well as the black colour, seems to be on the government's radar since they obviously make their decisions on aesthetics and not function.

I doubt the gun was designed around our stupid gun laws. Our firearms market is not all that large, and this is certainly a niche market gun. For what it is, it is overpriced IMHO.

As an aside nobody is going to be picking up our handguns now or in the foreseeable future. They may ban them to your house on the hopes you will comply but that would be about it.

I do agree it is all about optics but even the Liberals would have a hard time claiming the gun is anything more than a Camel dressed up like a firearm. LOL

Oh, I am not suggesting this was designed for the Canadian market with the affiliated gun laws. I am sure it wasn't. BUT as the US currently is experiencing the same undercurrents with Biden looking to ban this and that, and knowing that seemingly these socialist governments are working from the same playbook, I am pretty sure to a degree (how much of a degree I don't know), this had in mind an alternative, should any type of ban come to fruition. It certainly is tapping a market that is unrealized thus far, though it could probably be argued that the market for this would be a fairly niche one.

There is a bit of a lever action trend going on and being different by having something different is a thing as well..... The price just makes it more of an exclusive club.

That's for sure! You can get a B&T cheaper!

Considering the price I really can't figure out why this gun even exists. It isn't going to make much of an impact in Canada given the cost, and Americans have so many semi auto 9mm options that are cheaper. You can get some real nice stuff for this kinda money.

And I don't see it as future-proofing for bans either, as even if the US bans assault rifles it is unlikely they would go as far as our gov't is trying to go - the base model Ruger PC Carbine would have been just fine with the 1990s assault weapons ban for example (although the ones with AR stocks would be banned if they followed the same definition as before). And with the Republicans having control of the House of Representatives I don't see any gun ban legislation passing in the next 2 years.

This is true, though the Republicans, after 9 rounds of voting, can't figure out how to get consensus on a Speaker of the House...it is a foregone conclusion that something like gun bans will never make it past from the House to the Senate anyways...though stranger things have happened with a number of RINOs in congress.
