Which rifle with iron sights do you refuse to scope?

My Shiloh sharps and rolling blocks and snider also martini. I scope everything and looked at scoping my sharps but just couldn’t. As most of my shooting is rimfire and small cal Center fire, I make up for old eyes with a scope.

I’m an iron sights guy. If I can avoid a scope, I do, these ones are safe from getting scopes long as I own them, Mauser on the end is on deposit and new owner plans the same.

Classic bolt guns and lever guns mostly. I would.never scope my
1. CZ527 - perfect lightweight bush gun, love the fibre optic sights.
2. CZ550 in 375. It's like my 527 on steroids.
3. M38 Swedish Mauser , wouldn't butcher a classic.
4. Henry Big Boy (brass) - throwing a scope on a brass gun seems wrong.
5. Marlin 1895 - same as above, plus as my go to brush gun I can see further than I can lob a 45-70. No need for magnification.

I scope everything, even a Sharps action when I had one . I have a dozen lever guns from 1889 to modern Marlins that all have a scope mount available to them. My 1871 RB is scoped as well (32" Malchom type).

It is exremly easy to mount a small red dot to any vintage lever gun without altering or drilling it. It is a bit more difficult to mount a conventional scope but can be done for a usable option.

My 1952 336A waffle top and 1954 39A. Neither are drilled and tapped. They both wear old-timey steel Lyman receiver sights.

My eyes aren’t what they used to be, but there’s no way I could bring myself to drill holes in either one.

Any of my old collectable rifles that I still hunt with , like Win. M. 1873 , 1892 1886 & 1895.
Sav. 99 ( without holes for scope mounting). Same with Marlins,,,,,,, no holes = no scope.

Outside of that, I can't see not having an optic... Considering my aging eyes...
