I sold the Chinese 6-24x40 that fit this gun by chance. The rifle has 15mm dove tails and a 90° bolt throw. The rings are 12mm height, and I scored them for 25$ - I do not want to spend the $100+ to get another, taller set.
I've been tempted to machine an adapter to Piccy but that is only going to happen if I really have to. Always curious how well Aluminum Black works!

I'm looking for a new glass to replace it. I 3D printed a gage and found the MAX occular size is 2.026" to the top of the barrel, and I can clear a 1.63" objective if i take a few file swipes to one spot of the bolt handle. Ideal budget is around 300 but could do 400 if no other options appear.

All I found so far was a Vortex 2-7 Rimfire. It's 1.53 and 1.61 - annoyed that Bushnell and Burris dont post this information online!

Edit: Every Leupold Freedom 40mm will also fit at 1.83/1.56". I love that, except the price. A 4-12 with the Tri MOA would be perfect for this. I will keep a heavy eye out for a used one.

On most of my old Brnos I run vintage Weavers, Burris, Redfields, etc. just for that reason, usually they have smaller oculars and objectives. You could certainly find something like a Weaver K8, K10, K12, or one of the V series for less than $300. I find the glass on the vintage scopes as good as many of the new, less expensive off shore glass (others may not agree). I really like the older B&L scopes and the Burris. Just a suggestion.

Spend the money, go for the Leupold and stay away from Chinese scopes, even if you need to save for a little longer. That includes vortex, they are junk. That’s my 2 cents! A Brno needs a nice scope, it’s not like your shooting a rem 597 or a salvage Mkii. It’s a little classier rifle and deserves a classier optic! If you buy a clunker scope you’ll have buyers remorse at some point!

A Weaver Classic would be a nice fit as well iff’in you can find one.
