Lever action 9mm

The most hideous gun I have ever seen. I would like a little break action like a shotgun, that was chambered in 9mm. Nice and light, short, small, with iron sites and a rail so you could mount a scope or little red dot. The current trend of making hideous lever guns that are anything but tactical needs to disappear.

Pretty ugly. I would love a little handy lever gun in 9mm if it was more traditional. A Marlin 1894 or Winchester 92 would be a blast and handy for pests around the farm.

I dont mind it. Swap out the forend for a nicer one, or wood furniture, make it accept glock mags ..... now you have a decent C21 cope carbine lol

It's innovative, and interesting and i think it's really cool. That being said, 2k$+ is a lot of cash for something with 5 round mags in a caliber that isn't very powerful or useful to me. I would love to get a chance to play with one. But there's no way I could afford to invest my money into one at this time. I simply don't have enough spare cash to put into what would essentially be a toy for me. If anyone in north eastern Ontario gets they're hands on one and wants to show it off, send me a pm and I'll be on my way over in short order ;)

Pretty much this. The forend could be better as well as the price and I would have no issue with it. Not stuck on glock mags but would be helpful since many already have them. Depending on qhat our government does next i guess.

I'd rather wait another 2 years for Henry to come out with one than have someone give me this one for free tomorrow.

Wait...on second thought...I'll take anything free.

I'm holding out for the $499.99 Turkish version:

$599 with the drum mag.

For the mags to be classified as pistol mags there would need to be a commonly available pistol in the country that takes them and I couldn't find an FRT for the Phoenix (Although I could have missed it.) We can't get AK pistol mags for this very reason.

Feels like the real question is 5 or no limit. I can't think of anything to compare this to, not many manual actions using pistol mags from a pistol that's not available that I can think of.

But realistically not many people are shelling out $2500+ for any gun, let alone something as cosmetically "interesting" as this. I don't know what I'd pay for it, but certainly nowhere near that much.

So many comments about how it should take Glock mags. The only reason the thread was started is that it takes proprietary, legal 20 round mags, as it's a manual action. If they used Glock mags, what's the point? Just buy a semi auto. To those saying it would avoid being banned. No, it won't. It uses a magazine and that factor won't matter by 2030.

As previously pointed out tho, those "proprietary mags" are not manual arm mags, they were first designed to be used in their in house PCC... so in Canada this unit would be stuck with 5nrd capacity.

Here's the legalese on it.

3 (1) Any cartridge magazine

(a) that is capable of containing more than five cartridges of the type for which the magazine was originally designed and that is designed or manufactured for use in

(i) a semi-automatic handgun that is not commonly available in Canada,

(ii) a semi-automatic firearm other than a semi-automatic handgun,

Looks like the availability of the gun is not a factor unless it's a handgun mag. These would be semi automatic rifle magazines regardless of the availability of the Phoenix.
