Push the firing pin forward to slide the stop plate out? I dunno. Unless it's something to do with Kimber's firing pin block system.
I was under the impression you could disassemble the whole gun tooless except for using a 45acp round as a screwdriver for the grips.

It's a wire with a bend in it. There are crows that have this level of toolmaking ability. Modify a paperclip.
