Is the Mauser M18 Savannah a complete scam?

The M18 used to retail for like $750. Saw it on sale for that recently. The "Savannah" model is selling for like $1200. Is the only difference the tan stock? If so that's a complete and utter rip off (or tan pigment went up 1000000000x in price but somehow I doubt it).

Well the regular price is like $850, used to be $700. Either way, it's like 50% more for tan, as far as I can tell. I'm hoping someone can clarify.
