Hornady 6mm 109gr ELD-M

New for 2022. Hornady will be making 6GT factory ammo loaded with the new 109gr ELD-M available only at GAP Rifles for 1st quarter 2022.
109gr ELD-M available 2nd quarter 2022.

Probably borderline, I know the 1:7.7t barrels are iffy with 110SMK closer to sea level

The post said it is the same profile as the 110 a-tip but with a polymer tip, the 110 min twist is 7.7

Although a lighter tip in theory should increase stability, not sure if it would make a difference here

I don't see the bullet listed on Hornady's website, so I'm thinking either a) it doesn't exist, or b) you can't buy it as a component.

Seems to be a bit of a rabbit hole with these CM/PRC Hornady offerings.
They get standardized, companies build rifles with the specs...1/8 twist for 6mm for example, then hornady makes bullets you can't shoot out of them unless you go custom barrel.

Talked to Higginson about these awhile ago. They're apparently an exclusive bullet for GA Precision.

Hopefully Hornady decides to sell them to the general population at some point. Maybe an announcement at SHOT?

Clay Blackketter was saying that he predicts these to become the most popular bullet in the PRS. So the only way to do that would be to make them available across the country... not just from one retailer.

Most 6mm Creed's will be 7.7 twist, a 1:8 probably more the norm 10 years ago for a guy building a custom 243 and shooting a 105 berger or something similar. Long, but not modern long.
