Bell and Carlson stock for tikka t3x

For sure a step up. Depending on what you're wanting there are alot of options for the T3. I have one BC bedded and i like how it fits and balances.

A step-up in performance as in tighter groups?…nope, probably not. A step up in ergonomics, maybe, but the modular design of the newer T3X stock is pretty decent, B&C will be warmer to the touch.
An improvement in aesthetics? definitely!

I have a remington model 7 in factory plastic stock. The rifle produces 2.5-3 moa groups at best with everything I fed it, including handloads.I tried bedding the stock with acraglas, adding pillars, etc., but it still won't shoot. Once I put it in a b&c stock with aluminum v block, it started to produce 1.5 groups with factory ammo.

I used to think acraglas could fix any bad plastic stock, but my experience told me otherwise. Being said, I've seen tikka shooting very respectable groups with the factory plastic stock, so if your rifle is already shooting well, the gain might be limited.

Cheap Tikka stock is alright. But the B&C stock is a lot stiffer. They are not featherweight stocks, but they are stiff and solidly build. I've only ever had to touch up some areas (barrel channel, specifically) with sandpaper to avoid the "webbing" splatter from touching the barrel. Everything else has been solid - I have two Remington stocks and one Weatherby (Vanguard) stock. All solid, and all have been an upgrade over their respective factory stocks.

I would be interested in understanding how well they take aftermarket titanium recoil lugs which is an upgrade I've made a few times.

I noticed 1/8 moa improvement with my accuracy, but the plastic reinforced recoil lug on the factory stock was wiggling so it remedied that.
